Wedding Reception
The Fairmont Royal York Hotel

Our reception is at the Royal York Hotel in the Imperial Room.  This is a great venue for Matt and I, and especially Matt, because it is an old concert hall, and he LOVES music.  We are having a live band perform on the stage!  Some of these pictures were given to us by our Royal York contacts, and others were taken from Google and bostonimages.com from other people's weddings. Some are even from when we snuck in to see it multiple days with family when it was being set up.  You can see that is very colourful and elegant!

Reception Details

The reception will start with cocktails and appetizers being served in the main foyer just outside our room.  The receiving line will also be set up here.  Guests can enter the Imperial Room once this is finished for dinner.  Speeches and toasts and first dances will occur between courses to keep the night moving.  Dancing, cake cutting and general craziness will begin after dinner!

There is valet parking at the Royal York ($20/night), and many paid parking lots around the area (around $10, but check to see if you can overnight them).  It is also directly across from Union Station so there are many ways to get into the city for the evening.  Please use the map below to help direct you to the reception.

Overnight Accomodations

Please feel free to book a room at the Royal York for the night.  We do have a block of 50 rooms in our name for the night of the wedding.  The room rate is $129, which is similar to the friends and family rate through Fairmont.  The rooms will be held until June 24th, but the rate will be honored if rooms are still available after that date.
