Cake
Finally I have found the perfect cake - a mix of whites and ivories - oh and the PEARLS - I will have to figure those out - they are blown sugar bubbles, actually - but it is GORGEOUS! I was considering cupcakes but have found someone to do a 4 layer cake for 100 for an amazing price! YAY! It is a simple white buttercream, but my cake girl is going to put fondant on top to ensure that it does not melt in the August heat.
We met her yesterday (January) and she is so nice and a great cake designer. The cake was delicious (moist lemon cake with raspberry buttercream) and we were lucky enough to bring some of the cake over to Matt's parents' house afterwards since we were headed there anyway - great all around!

Pewter & Crystal Cake Plate
Here are a few I was looking at before for inspiration - I was thinking ribbon, but I ended up falling in live with the pearls and the dotting:
